People often ask me how I found the great hall I used for my wedding (the Officer's Mess Hall on Summerset) - well, it was during Doors Open Ottawa! I walked in and thought it was perfect - I think I booked it two days later!!

This is on Slater, close to Bank. I always admired the curved corners, more on my flikr. Another similar building is the EDC Building on Laurier. I think it is one of the biggest buildings downtown, I had a tough time photographing the height of the building.

Finally, this Bridgehead Coffee Shop is located on Bank Street (at Albert, I think). I LOVE the design and details of the building.

So I found this photo a few years ago in Canadian House and Home. I've had a vanity like this my whole life - last year, we finally refinished it and have slowly collected other waterfall pieces to go with it. They don't really match but in a way they do - I love it. People often tell me that it reminds them of their grandparents though, I am not sure if that makes for a sexy bedroom space!
