So wall decals are fast becoming a big thing in home decor - a great way to add a nice punch to a room with minimal effort. I found this beautiful tree via Canadian Etsy seller so deco (from Toronto!).
Here is the entire graphic (note, it also comes in different colours):
So it is official, I love the chairs by Room & Board - I hope I can find something similar available locally. I want a nice couple of chairs for my living room that I can sit comfortably in and read... What do you think? These are my three favorite:
The Andre @ $1k The Anson @ $1.1k (I'd go for red or something different then yellow) And last (but not least) the Quinn in at $700
Of course, I'm finding the prices a bit steep - I guess I'm too used to pulling most of my furniture out of thrift stores but seriously, do nice chairs have to be so much?
Picking a sofa for our living room seems like such a huge commitment - it seems like everyone keeps them forever. I want something classic for sitting and can't seem to make up my mind. I have a feeling my mind will be made up by the limited choices available but I would like something like this Baxter Sofa by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.
So we just got back from a weekend away at a cabin that belongs to a friend. My hub and I have been chatting about buying land and building our own cabin for some time - but how affordable is that? and is it really possible? Well, last night I found instructions for this cabin: Isn't it CUTE? And apparently, it can be built for around $4k. With no plumbing or electricity but hey, that is cabin living.
Their website and pictures do not accurately capture the wonderfulness that is Widdicombs in the Westboro neighborhood of Ottawa. They have the most beautiful pieces of furniture! Preloved "quality used furniture" - the pieces typically come from the eastern United States. The staff are always wonderful and the basement contains the best finds.

When I started this, I was hoping to update on a consistent basis (like more then once a week!) but with my training that just isn`t going to happen for the next little while. I promise to keep updating with something new every week.
